Who's Katrina?

Katrina Ferguson is an actor, photographer, vegetarian, yoga practitioner and gourmet chocolate enthusiast! Originally from Australia, Katrina has called the U.S. home for over 30 years. In Sydney, she trained at The Independent Theatre School, Ensemble Studios, and in NY - New Actors Workshop/George Morrison; NY Shakespeare Festival Lab; American Stanislavsky Center/Sonia Moore.

 

Katrina was named Best Actress at the Dorset Theatre Festival for her portrayal of Eleanor of Aquitaine in THE LION IN WINTER: received a NJ FOOTLIGHTS Award for MASTERCLASS, playing Maria Callas; and was nominated for a BROADWAY WORLD Award for Lady Bracknell in THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST.

 

She has appeared Off-Broadway and at regional theatres, performing leading roles in comedies and dramas. Katrina toured the U.S. with The National Shakespeare Company, and spent ten Holiday Seasons traveling Europe with American Drama Group’s production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL.

 

Behind the footlights, she created and produced A STAGE OF HER OWN, for Women’s History Month. A founding member of The Australia New Zealand Artists’ Alliance (ANZAA), Katrina was Executive Producer of The Oceania Arts Festival in New York, featuring over 30 antipodean artists.  She also founded The Career Group, a career development program

for actors and in a former life Katrina traveled the world as an international model.
